ENGLISH:
This action consists in the creation of the Post-it day at the biggest public gallery in the city. In this way, the viewer is an active part of the local art critique circuit. Using Post-its, I created an ephemeral critique dynamic (which only lasted one day). At the entrance of the gallery the spectator was handed a small block of these, so that he/she could write reviews about the works and post them alongside with the works in the gallery.
Some of the goals were to get the people who visit the gallery to form an active part in the exhibition´s experience, thus eliminating the barrier between work and viewer and allowing them to part of the work. Also, creating a fresh way to externalize views on the exhibited work and the exhibition in general, which is of interest to the artists and those who put together the exhibition, as well as encouraging a critical attitude in the viewer.
This activity was carried out as part of October: Art Critique Month, organized by Laboratorio Dzitya, and was done at the Center for Visual Arts, coordinated by the Cultural Institute of Yucatan, in Merida, Yucatan.
